In the top match at the Seestadion between the league leader, the guest from Wassenberg-Orsbeck, and the second-placed Heinsberg-Lieck, the guests were a size too big for the Lions.

Too big, not just figuratively, but also literally. The captain of Orsbeck was significantly taller than all the players from Lieck and even taller than the referee.

Trailing 2-0 early, our U13 managed to score a fantastic free-kick goal just before halftime to make it 2-1.

In the second half, the boys gave it their all, and after a foul as the last man, the guests were lucky that it only resulted in a free kick. Whether it was actually a penalty, who knows. But there should have been a personal penalty. After a counterattack, Wassenberg restored their two-goal lead. Five minutes before the end, the Lions managed to score again to make it 3-2. Giving up is not in this team's vocabulary, and they tried everything until the last second to equalize. In the end, it remained 3-2.
