After three narrow defeats in a row, the U13 managed to secure second place in the final Sonderliga match with a 0:0 draw.

In a game that either team could have won, the slightly better chances were on the Lions' side. However, both goalkeepers made no mistakes, and it ended in a goalless draw.

Our boys finish the Sonderliga in an outstanding second place. Only Wassenberg-Orsbeck managed to pull away. At the same time, they had the best offense in the strong Sonderliga with 32 goals. Our Lions can now call themselves the best 2011 team in the district, as the Orsbeck boys are entirely from the 2010 age group.

Next up is the qualification for the Bezirksliga. The playoff match on May 20 in Erkelenz will determine which team from the Heinsberg district advances to the next round of qualification.
