Phew!

After the game, we all had to catch our breath. But let's start from the beginning.

At the D2 of Wegberg-Beeck, our boys had to compete in the third match of the Sonderliga.

The skillful Beeck team was clearly better in the first half, and it was only thanks to the strong performance of the Lions' goalkeeper that no goals were conceded. In the 34th minute, the home team scored the deserved opening goal. After that, a few small changes were made to the team, culminating in a storming finish in the last five minutes. The Heinsberg team pinned the Beeck players in their own half. After hitting the post and a ball rolling along the goal line, the cheers were already on everyone's lips. But not yet. 30 seconds later, it finally happened: the equalizer! What a cheer. The game was already over on the clock, but the referee didn't want to end the thrilling match just yet. This led to another great chance for the Lions. But it wasn't meant to be. In the end, both teams were satisfied with the point, and all spectators left with a few more gray hairs.
