Last weekend, an eventful season came to an emotional end for 1. FC Heinsberg-Lieck with a final home game. In front of numerous "red Lions" who supported their team as always, the game ended narrowly with a 2-3 loss. Despite the unfortunate result, the focus of the day was on unity and togetherness, as the goal of staying in the league had already been secured on the previous matchday.

Things got especially emotional after the final whistle: Several players and the coaching team were bid farewell – some are ending their active careers but will remain with the club, while others are starting a new chapter of their careers with a new club. They were honored for their efforts in the 1. FC Heinsberg-Lieck jersey with applause, personal words, and small gestures of gratitude.

Under bright sunshine and in high spirits, the team, fans, and club members celebrated the end of the season together. There was laughter, storytelling, and reminiscing about many wonderful shared moments – all in the spirit of the club.
