A mixed weekend for our Lions: While our First Team narrowly lost in Kempen, the Second Team celebrated a historic victory in Myhl. Here are the details.
FC Eintracht Kempen – 1. FC Heinsberg-Lieck 2:1
Our First Team started furiously in Kempen and took the lead after just five minutes with a header goal by Jona Handanovic. Florim Sulejmani set up the goal with a precise cross. However, Kempen equalized before halftime and turned the game around in the second half with another goal by Sascha Hochgreef.
Despite a committed performance, we were unable to score the equalizer. Especially in the final phase, we lacked precision in finishing to at least take a point. As a result, we drop to 8th place in the table.
