U13:
In the first game of the new season, the young team, consisting exclusively of players born in 2011, 2012, and even one from 2013, impressed on early Friday evening in Haaren. At halftime, the score was "only" 3:0 in the away game. In the second half, the result was increased to 9:0. The result was fully deserved, even at this margin. The finishing can certainly be improved, but some of the plays were already very impressive. The coaching team around coach Nexhmi Sherifi was very satisfied with the performance, especially with the contributions of the substitutes. On Tuesday evening, the U13 will play their first cup match in Boscheln.
U15:
In the first half, the Lions could only create a few good chances against a deep-lying opponent from Waldfeucht-Bocket. These were well saved by the opposing keeper. Consequently, the halftime score was 0:0.
In the second half, a tactical adjustment allowed the team to stretch the opponent's defense. This led to a solo effort by Diego Ahrens in the 38th minute, resulting in the first goal. In the 45th and 50th minutes, well-executed plays led to the 2:0 and 3:0 goals by Agon Krasniqi. The decisive goal came in the 54th minute from Nikita Schwan. Other good chances went unconverted.
The opponent from Waldfeucht-Bocket gave their all defensively in the first half, which became evident in their stamina as the game progressed.
The Lions controlled the game at all times and deservedly won 4:0.
