On Tuesday evening, during the home cup match, the team from Birgden-Langbroich-Schierwaldenrath and Waldenrath-Straeten visited us. The coaching team was a bit tense beforehand due to the unknown opponent, but the young Lions quickly made it clear who was in charge. With the halftime whistle and a 3:0 score, the guests were still lucky, but in the end, the boys from Lieck were able to reflect their strength in the result. A well-deserved 10:1 victory means the U13 is now in the quarterfinals and among the top eight teams in the Heinsberg district. Notably, this was achieved without a single player from the older eligible age group. On Saturday, the league match against SV Waldfeucht-Bocket, who are also in the quarterfinals, will take place. Next Tuesday, Nexhmi's team will play at home in the cup against FC Rhenania Immendorf.
